Landing gear… what landing gear?

This blog has been cleared for takeoff – whether that is wise or not remains to be seen. 

I had been feeling the need for an online voice for some time. With that in mind, on my last day at work before the festive break, I told a colleague I would have my own blog before I returned to work in the New Year. 

Well, due to festive commitments, monster flu viruses and two darts tournaments on television, things have progressed slightly slower than I’d hoped. As I write this, I don’t even have my RSS feed sorted out! Consider the whole thing a work in progress for now.

I was planning a well thought out first post, all about my mushy feelings for the internet and what has brought me to start blogging – it turns out that requires far more thought than I have time for.

Instead I’ll try to give you some idea what this blog might be about…

• My Life online – my job requires me to be on the internet all day long (would you call that work?) so I have to know my way around and take advantage of the latest tools.
• My Life Offline – It does happen occasionally. I sometimes go out in the real world, or watch something on television.

So here it is – TheSourceress blogs her first, and hopefully not her last.
